Crossover Canada concluded its IHSBC campaign in Malaysia with a championship win against the highly spirited NS Matrix of Kuala Lumpur Malaysia 86-67. Fresh from an inspiring win against Malaysias Top Club AFF, NS Matrix hoped for an upset against the Canucks. However the Canadians continued its mastery of NS Matrix, made up mostly of Malaysia's U16 national team members to claim the 7th edition of the tournament. The two teams faced earlier each other at the elimination round with the Malaysian team giving the Canadians a challenge before succumbing to a 71-65 loss.
At the eliminations the highly favourite Crossover Canada faced NS Matrix, EVBL Philippines and MCKK Cages and left unscathed. The Canadians demolished Australia's SEQ Cougars 80-53 and cruised through SMK BU3 Selangor with a 72-66 win at the playoff round to move to the finals. Tournament MVP Olu Nwoko and Tournament Scorer Martin Zarzuela proved too much for the opponent NS Matrix to win at the finals and replicate its championship win two years ago.
Other team members includes Vincent Andal, Martin Bufasi, Uzo Nwoko Stephen, Mark, Kevin, Coach Rod Garcia and head of delegation Coach Mike. Team Crossover Canada was supported by the Law Office of Terry Walman and MB The Place To Be resto bar and lounge.
