Australasia Official distributes COVID-19 rice packs in Leyte

Sydney: Amidst the COVID-19 pandemic crisis, Filipino-Australian Maryrose Salubre CEO MS Magazine, CEO/Founder of Salubre Models & Miss Australasia Official voluntarily distributed rice food pack assistance to over 170 families in Bunga, a barangay in the city of Baybay, province of Leyte, Philippines.
PinOz Mary Rose Salubre, previously representing Mrs. Southeast Asia, first competed for Mrs. Universe 2016 earning the title Mrs. Courage and continued her journey as Mrs Classic Galaxy 2017 in Sofia, Bulgaria.

Australasia Official’s beauty pageant is a multicultural beauty pageant that empowers mature aged women (whilst Miss Teen Australasia is for the youth) from diverse backgrounds who are encouraged to raise funds and awareness of charities and those less fortunate than ourselves.
The beauty pageantry’s platform is designed to support charities that helps the educational needs of the poor kids in some of the suburbs of Cebu and Leyte, (Philippines) by building schools and child feeding programme in the rural communities
Supported by her Australasian migrant ties-families: Shri Lankan-Oz Brian and Suzie Frugtniet, PinOz Jeremiah Dulalia and children Chantelle and MJ, her visiting parents Celso & Nenita Salubre along with American-Oz human rights activist-peacemaker Richard Hoskins.
“Together they have raised over AU$800 that was sent back home to her family Dwine Erbulas and Tessie Salubre in Leyte to buy and distribute rice, noodles and canned sardines, good samaritan Maryrose Salubre said.
“I wanted to give away only to targeted 100 homes because our budget is very limited but, we ended up exceeding, thus sharing it to over 170 families, Ms Salubre added.
“This was distributed in just one barangay out of the 92 barangays in Bunga, province of Leyte, Eastern Visayas (Region VIII), food packs distributor Tess Salubre said.
Miss Australasia Official CEO and founder Ms. Maryrose Salubre, 43 years old from Rosehills, also previously handed more than PHP 30,000 of the pageants Haiyan charity cash proceeds last July 9, 2015, to Bunga National High School (BNH) and Bunga Elementary School (BES) of Baybay, Leyte
Filo-Aussie migrant Ms. Salubre , was born and raised in Bunga, Leyte was also determined to help back her Haiyan ravaged kababayans in 2015 by restoring both schools (costing over AU$ 20K funding) and has done feeding to over 1,000 pax of high school, elementary kindergarten children and faculty.
Recalling her 2015 feeding program, students and faculty shared the 50 kilos of lechon viand with rice and veges with orange juice, noodles, bread as a cheerful treat on top of the donation during her school visit.
