On World Humanitarian Day 2019 we honour the work of women in crises throughout the world. We focused on the unsung heroes, who have long been working on the front lines in their own communities in some of the most difficult terrains, we saluted the efforts of women aid workers from across the world, who rally to people in need.
In Sydney on World Humanitarian Day, the volunteer ministers in Scientology celebrated by: ‘Awarding Women Humanitarian from all Religions and Nationalities’ last August 30 in Sydney CBD.
They paid homage to these exceptional women for the years of invaluable work, care and commitment to helping improve the lives of others, through countless good works.
Filipino-Australian women awardees were: Dr. Cen Amores, Maryrose Salubre, Maria Eftekharhashtroudi (AKA Marilie Bomediano) along with CALD Diverse awardees Rev. Navazu Ozegbe, (Congo) Rosemary Sumanti (Indonesia- not in the photo) and Marjike de Haas (Indonesia)
Majority of these exceptional awardees were helping the community’s new migrants, supporting the refugees, doing charity works for cancer, autism, disabilities and promoting mental health awareness.
They also focused in the CALD diverse community housing and/or helping the media with print and broadcast news while maintaining the peace and order in the region preventing armed conflicts through dispute resolutions and cessation of war legislation campaigns with the United Nations Charter.
