With the support and cooperation of the Philippine Community Council of NSW, Randwick Council and Multicultural NSW, FACAES through its newly elected President, Mr. Roque Molavin, expresses his elation and excitement in carrying out the gargantuan task of leading FACAES and promised to replicate, and if possible, surpass the successful outcome of the 1st and the 2nd Filipino Fiesta held in the same venue in 2017 and 2018.
As this Filipino-style Cultural and Arts Festival kicks off at exactly 10:00 AM on 20 October 2019, Mr. Molavin extends his invitation not only to FACAES families, friends and supporters but also to the whole Filipino community residing in the Eastern Suburbs. He encourages everyone to come out and continue to support the Filipino Fiesta, which features songs and dance, non-stop entertainment and most of all, to enjoy authentic Filipino food being available for sale and ready to eat popular home-made delicacies.
As what FACAES had done during the last 2 years, a special charity raffle will be conducted on the day of the event which also include the introduction and presentation of beauty candidates vying for the Miss and Mrs. Sydney, NSW 2019 and Miss Sydney, NSW Charity Queen 2019. The awarding ceremonies will be held during the Coronation Night on 26 October 2019 to be held at East Leagues Club, Bondi Junction, NSW from 4:00 PM till late. For the first time in the 3-year old Filipino Fiesta in Randwick, FACAES will showcase a special multi-cultural dance exhibition participated by multicultural groups based in Sydney.
This year, FACAES is anticipating approximately 1200-1400 Filipino-Australians along with their families and friends who will show up and enjoy this fun filled Sunday. With the monumental backing and support of the Multicultural NSW, the new FACAES President, Mr. Roque Molavin is genuinely confident that the event will be an overwhelming success. Speaking of backup and support, Mr. Molavin is happy to announce that this year, FACAES is choosing Philippine Airlines (PAL), as its major airline sponsor.
Mr. Molavin who brought the good news to FACAES a few weeks ago is extending his thanks and appreciation to Ms. Jelyn Palad, PAL Accounts Manager for her role in facilitating the sponsorship deal between FACAES and PAL. PAL, Asia’s First Airline and Philippine Flag carrier, is giving away 2 return tickets (Syd-Mnl-Syd) to the winner of the Charity Raffle and also to the winner of Miss Sydney, NSW Charity Queen 2019. Mr. Molavin fervently hopes that PAL will be able to continue their support to FACAES Filipino Fiesta in Randwick year after year. In addition, another reliable partner and benefactor, True Bite Denture Clinic is again generously doling out $1,000 gift voucher for each of the candidates of Miss and Mrs. Sydney, NSW including the winner of the Miss Sydney, NSW Charity Queen 2019.
True Bite Owner/Proprietor, Dr. Bernardo (Badge) Baduria, assures FACAES of his continued patronage to further their cause of advocating and propagating the rich cultural heritage and tradition of the Filipinos in Sydney and anywhere in Australia. Meanwhile, FACAES is extending its sincere thanks and appreciation to the Knights of Rizal, Sydney Chapter and Tagalog Association of Australia, through Sir Danny Peralta, KCR. These 2 organizations are strong and loyal supporters of the Filipino Fiesta in Randwick for the last 2 years.
