GTA Featineans Hold Early Christmas Shindig

The Featineans of Greater Toronto, Ontario, true to its admirable tradition and meaningful fellowship practice, celebrated their pre-Christmas and holiday gathering -cum- association luncheon meeting on December 8, 2019, at a Chinese buffet restaurant in Scarborough, Toronto.
Led by The Featineans Association of Toronto current president, Ed Baruela, the alumni association conducted its end-of-year salo-salo to greet and share with each other the blessings and beauties of Kapaskuhan in our adopted homeland. The holiday function, according to the organizers, is a means of strengthening and enhancing the bonds of friendship, cooperation and understanding among the membership and their immediate families.
Among those who joined in the diet-busting merriment and camaraderie were the executive officers and directors of TFAT, their spouses & partners and other special guests. Prominently in attendance were living founders Anita Taay-Buiza and Tony A. San Juan and former presidents Oliver Rey, Moises Ga, Max Recaido and Ed Birondo.
The 2019-2021 officers present were: Rolly Balangue, Tom Flores, Rose Flores, Tony Gatongay, Fanny Gravador, Greg Gravador, Rudy Olay, Rudy Ortiz, Bert Pabustan, Nenita Recaido, Jocelyn A. San Juan, Eric Serapio and Har Tawatao. The other notable members who attended were Evelyn Birondo, Mary Ann Gatongay, Zeny Ortiz, Auring Pabustan, Darlene Rey and Evelyn Serapio. Special guests included Featinean association sports players (OB, JB, Anthony, Michelle, Tesa, Mildred & Annaliza), Centre Holidays travel consultants Lyn & Ysmael Tan, Filipiniana publisher Bin Kon Loo and some children & friends of TFAT members.
Long-serving Treasurer Nenita Recaido received birthday greetings and well-wishes. At the after - lunch and exchange gifts sessions, TFAT held an executive board meeting. The officers and directors considered the plans for conducting its usual Spring Dinner Dance and Summer Picniic events for 2020. After which, a group posterity photo was made with everyone sharing sweet smiles and best poses. The pre-holiday makers then wished each other a great yuletide season and prosperous coming new year.
