Back to the Motherland , a Mother’s Day concert with a twist, is a celebratory homecoming for YouTube sensation Mikey Bustos on May 9, 2020 at Queen Elizabeth Theatre in Toronto. Back to the Motherland will include performances by Mikey Bustos, Martha Joy, The Toronto Tenors, The Edge, Edmund Arevalo, and more!

Back to the Motherland  will be emceed by the “Spice Girls of Comedy”  Tita Collective , who recently had a sold-out run at NextStage Festival. In addition to the signature parodies and music of  Mikey Bustos , the concert will also feature: Canadian Idol Top 10 finalist  Martha Joy ; the debut performance of  The Toronto Tenors ; the Pinoy Rock'n'Roll of  Edmund Arevalo ; energetic youth performers  Peyton Garcia, Kayleigh Cerezo  and  Carter Lane ; and Filipino pop trio  The Edge .

Originally from Toronto,  Mikey Bustos  is currently based in Manila, Philippines where he works as an entertainer and runs his popular YouTube channel with over 1 Million subscribers and a Facebook Creator with 1.6 Million followers. Throughout his career Mikey Bustos has released three original music albums, several EPs, and singles. He has been awarded Best YouTube Channel in the Philippines, Best YouTube Video in the Philippines, and Top YouTube Personality at the Influence Asia Awards in Singapore. In 2016, he was recognized as one of the 50 Most Influential Filipinos Worldwide by Peninsula Manila.

MIKEY BUSTOS

 Mikey Bustos is a Canadian-born Filipino singer/song writer/performer, comedian actor, video maker, and online personality. Also known as the Ambassador of Filipinos On The Internet”, he is best known for his witty Filipino-themed and musical videos, both comedic and serious, on YouTube and Facebook.He was also the 7^th runner up finalist in Canadian Idol Season One  in 2003, being the first Filipino to make the top finals in any Idol show in any country.

Singer-turned-vlogger MIKEY BUSTOS is currently known as one of the most popular local personalities to do parodies on his YouTube channel. The 38-year-old vlogger revealed in his post last October that making it into the top 8 in the 2003.

Canadian Idol competition was one of the best experiences in his life. "Here's where I first stepped into the limelight as a naive 21-year-old with a dream to do 'my thing'!"

During his career, he has released three original music albums, several EPs, and singles, all of which are available on iTunes, Spotify, and other music retailers. He has performed as a front act to Christina Aguilera in 2007 and the Pussycat Dolls in 2006.
