SPARK, LSU, Team Genesis win in the UDO Asia Pacific Streetdance Championships, braces for Worlds 2019

It was a great day to be a Filipino. The multinational audience, the loud cheers, the waving of flags, the lights and a humongous stage was the perfect platform to showcase our talent and passion as a nation.
Last November 3-4, the UDO Asia-Pacific Streetdance Championships was held at the newly-constructed Chongzuo Sports Centre in Guanxi Province, China. It was participated by representatives from different Asia Pacific Nations including China, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, New Zealand, and the Philippines.
Christian Paul Aguillo of Letran Squires Uknighted emerged as semi-finalist in the 1v1 under 16 Locking Battle after facing tough battlers in the preselection and preliminary stages.
For the Under 14 division, SPARK from the Empyr group, placed 3rd during the preliminaries and ranked 5th during the finals. Thus, securing them a slot at the World Championships 2019 in Blackpool, United Kingdom. They also won bronze medals, a trophy and 4,000 RMB. Their members are from Letran, La Consolacion and Ateneo.
The Intramuros-based Letran Squires Uknighted placed 4th overall in the Open Under 18 division. They also get at spot at the World Championships 2019. All of their members are from the Junior and Senior High School of Colegio de San Juan de Letran- Manila.
Both teams were coached by Letran Alumnus and former Star Magic Workshops dance teacher, Mr. Paolo Crisanto Nuguid, who is also the Head Dance Coach of Letran.
Other teams from the Philippines also placed in the other divisions. Team Genesis from Bulacan was hailed as Champions in the Ultimate Advanced division.
