Fil-Oz Liverpool holds its first Christmas Party for 2018

Liverpool-November 3: Fil-Oz Liverpool and Districts Inc. held its first time Christmas Party at Merrylands RSL on the 3rd November 2018. The event was held as a quiet “family affair”, that is a quiet time to relax and enjoy not having to set up and work to run a function but let someone else do the work for once.
The program promised a relaxed night and indeed it was. The special guests were the Consul-General Maria Teresita L Taguiang, and Rachel P. Calisin, Cultural Officer and Assistant to the Consul General, Father Dado Haber, Dr. Cen and Ruben Amores, including 5 Beauty Queens, Ms World 2018 Robbie Canner (World Titleholder),Ms Classic Continent Australia 2018 Finalist Lisa Ciaparra, Ms Newcastle 2018 and Ms Continent 2018 Finalt Samantha Hodgins, Ms International Global World 2018 Sue Turner (World Titleholder), Miss Continent Australia 2018 Finalist Miss Monique Navratil.
One of the important functions for the night was the induction of new Fil-Oz Liverpool Office Bearers for 2018-2020, who were sworn in and congratulated by Consul General Maria Teresita L Taguiang, are Cora Bojarski President, Richard J Ford Vice President and PRO, Linda Price Secretary, Alma Middlebrook Auditor, Nora Howell Treasurer, Juliet Byrne Director (not present was Mick Miguel Director).
The emcee for the night was the indefatigable Charles Chan who did a top job of keeping the guests entertained. The entertainment for the night was an array of talented young singers Stacey Bustamante and Catherine Tiatco, with the Master of Music Mr. Rolly Limun and also the ever talented Albert Prias and the dancing was provided by the Fil-Oz Dance Group and a surprise dance number by Sally and Glenn Morgan with a Tango number. The music provided by Lionel Lasema.
The proceeds of the night will go towards the funding of the Santacruzan Flores de Mayo 2019. With so many Raffle Prizes donated it really did seem like a Christmas night.
