Knights of Rizal Invites the Sydney Filipino-Australian Community to its 1st OKOR ANZO Regional Assembly and Conference

The Sydney Chapter will be hosting the 3-day Knights of Rizal 1st Australia, New Zealand and Oceania (ANZO) Regional Assembly and Conference on 23-25 November 2018.  Various memorable and exciting activities will occur at various locations, though events for the last 2 days will happen at the Homebush Olympic Park.



Delegates with their respective ladies will be coming from the 6 ANZO Chapters namely:   Sydney Chapter (led by Chair Regional Commander Sir Cesar Bartolome KCR and Co-Chair East Australia Area Commander and concurrent Sydney Chapter Commander Sir Danny Peralta KCR), Western Sydney Chapter (led by Chapter Commander Sir Tom Baena Jr KCR), Canberra Chapter (led by Chapter Commander Sir Norman Kalagayan KOR), Perth Chapter (led by West Australia Area Commander Sir Rod Alido KCR and Chapter Commander Sir Vic Villanueva KCR), Auckland Chapter and Wellington Chapter (led by New Zealand Area Commander HE Sir Ambassador Jesus “Gary” Domingo KGOR, Auckland Chapter Commander Sir Antonio Noblejas KCR will be represented by the Chapter Exchequer Sir Roy Boquiron, KR and Wellington Chapter Commander Sir Marcelo Esparas KCR).

A Knights of Rizal counterpart organization, the Kababaihang Rizalista Inc. (KRI) Sydney Chapter led by Chapter President Lady Michelle Baltazar together with the officers, members and partners will join the Regional Assembly and Conference.  Both the Knights of Rizal and the Ladies of KRI have the primary objectives to promote, propagate and follow the teachings and ideals of our great Philippine national hero Dr. Jose P. Rizal.

Overseas delegation from the Philippines will be led by the Supreme Commander Sir Court of Appeals Justice Elihu Ybanez KGCR together with the Supreme Council Trustees and members of the Council of Elders (composed of former Supreme Commanders).  Other notable attendees will be the Immediate Past Supreme Commander Sir Reynato S. Puno Sr. KGCR, a former Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of the Philippines, Past Supreme Commander Sir Jerry Singson KGCR who is currently Vice Governor of Ilocos Sur, Deputy Supreme Commander Sir Lutgardo B. Barbo, KGOR and currently Senate Secretary – Senate of the Philippines together with Lady Rebecca Barbo and Supreme Chancellor Sir Tagum City Mayor Allan Rellon KGOR.  Other Knights from USA and other countries are also expected to attend.

Prime Minister Scott Morrison and NSW Premiere Gladys Berejiklian will send their representatives.  Blacktown City Mayor Cr Stephen Bali, MP and Campbelltown City Mayor Cr George Brticevic will officiate at respective appropriate ceremonies together with the Philippine Ambassador to Australia and the Consul General in Sydney Ma. Teresa Taguiang.  In attendance also will be the Filipino-Australian Councillors Cr Sir Jess Diaz KGOR, Sir Jaymes Diaz KOR, Cr Lady Linda Santos KRI, Cr Lady Carol Israel KRI and Cr Rey Manoto (RPMC President).

The 3-day Regional Assembly and Conference will comprise mainly the following: Day 1 – Friday – 23 November 2018 -Wreath laying ceremonies at the Rizal Monument in the Rizal Park at Campbelltown City -Lunch in Campbelltown City -Unveiling ceremonies of the Rizal Bust in the Rizal Park at Blacktown City -Tree planting at Rizal Park Memory Lane by the Knights of Rizal Supreme Commander Sir Elihu Ibanez, KGCR and Past Supreme Commander Sir Reynato S. Puno Sr., KGCR -Afternoon tea -Musical Play Cabesang Tales at Great Western Sydney Performance Arts Centre (Written by Dr. Floro Quibuyen, Music by Rie Manaloto, Lyrics and Direction by Ferdie Dimaano) -Dinner in Blacktown Day 2 – Saturday – 24 November 2018 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM First Plenary Session at Property Investment Alliance Hall.

A series of ceremonial, symposium and resource speakers led by the Supreme Commander and the Premiere of NSW. Sir Dr. Floro Quibuyen will lead a notable list of resource speakers on the important and informative theme “Rizal and the Filipino Diaspora”. Other speakers are Sir Lutgardo B, Barbo, KGOR Deputy Supreme commander who will speak about the “National Rizal Youth Program” being elected as Chairperson of NRYLI 2018 including Sir Allan Rellon, KGOR Supreme Chancellor and Mayor of Tagum City Davao Philippines. The day session includes morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and entertainment breaks. Day 3 – Sunday – 25 November 2018 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Second Plenary Session at Property Investment Alliance Hall Entertaining and informative resource speakers will continue to be led by Sir Reynato S. Puno Sr., KGCR who will speak “BUKAS: Towards Justice and Prosperity 2020 and Beyond”, Sir Jeremias C. Singson, KGCR who will speak about: ENDURE & WORK: The Obedience and Humility Expected from the Knights of Rizal, and HE Ambassador To NZ Sir Gary Domingo KGOR Knighting and awarding ceremonies.

The day session includes morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and entertainment breaks. Knights Gala Night – Sunday – 25 November 2018 6:30 PM to 11:00 PM at Freshwater Ballroom, Novotel Olympic Park 2 course meal with 3 hours of soft drinks plus M7 Music and Dance And Surprise Entertainment! Formal Attire For the 3 day affair the Knights are registered and booked @ $500.

Day 2 Saturday ticket cost @ $110

Day 3 Sunday ticket cost @ $110 (9 AM to 5 PM only) Knights Gala Night ticket cost @ $150.
