TORONTO, Ontario, Canada - The Knights of  Rizal Canada Region Regional Commander Sir Joe Damasco, KGOR, and Deputy Regional Commander Mario Alpuerto, KGOR,  confirmed the holding of the 18th Commanders' Ball which is set on  November 2, 2018, at the famous JC's Banquet  Hall  which is located at 1686 Ellesmere Road, Scarborough which is now a part of Toronto.

Damasco and Alpuerto said that the event will be attended by officers and members of the Knights of Rizal in the whole Canada. At the same time, they are calling Filipino businessmen and officers of the different Filipino organizations to attend the said Commanders' Ball as Regional Commander Sir Joe Damasco, KGOR as he handled the circultions of several Filipino newspapers in Toronto including his membership in the production group of the famous radio program," Talakayan" which is being produced by another member of the Knights of Rizal Sir Jess Cabrias, KGOR. Damas was a former secretary of the Philippine Press Club of Ontario (PPCO). In fact, he was one of the founders of the PPCO. On the other, Deputy Regional Commander Alpuerto, is also officer of several Filipino organizations in Toronto.

Many Filipinos who know them that both are dynamic workers as far as volunteer works are concerned in Toronto's community events are concerned.

The Knights of Riza Canada Regionl Commanders' Ball is strongly supported by the different Filipino organizations not only in Ontario but also in other provinces of Canada.

The different Rizal Chapters and members are working hard in supporting the leaderships of the tandem of Damasco and Alpuerto to propel the promotion of the vision and ideal of dr. Jose P. Rizal, the Philippine's national hero by way of reforms through peaceful means.

As Dr. Rizal said that "the youth is the hope of the fatherland" thus both of them are encouraging the young Filipinos to join the youth council of the Knights of Rizal not only in Canada but also in other parts of the world.

The senior advisers of the Knights of Rizal Canada Region include Sir George  R. Poblete, KGCR; Sir Lapulapu Cana, KGCR;  Sir Dr. Tom Virey, KGOR; Sir Jaime T. Marasigan, and  Sir Eduardo C. Prillo.
