“PITIK KO, PINTA MO” – AN EXHIBITION OF PHOTOGRAPHY AND   PAINTINGS OF ICONIC PLACES OF MANILA” AT FORT SANTIAGO

MANILA, Philippines –  A total of fourteen (14) professional photographers from the Federation of Philippine Photographers Foundation, Inc. (FPPF), and sixteen (16) renowned artists/painters from the Pinsel Art Society, have successfully conceptualized a combined unique informative and creative medium of arts project  dubbed as “Pitik Ko, Pinta Mo”or “My Shoot, You Paint.”- a one-month combined photographic arts and painting exhibition slated starting December 17, 2021 until January 22, 2022 to be held at the FPPF Art Chambers at Fort Santiago in Intramuros, Manila.



          The combined project was successfully launched last December 17, 2021 under the auspices of the Federation of Philippine Photographer’s Foundation, Inc. (FPPF), in cooperation with the Intramuros Administration and the Pinsel Art Society.

          The event was successfully attended and spearheaded  by FPPF Overall Chairwoman Eduvegis “Edi” Huang, Tourism Board Promotions Director Mrs. Cynthia Lazo,  FPPF President and PMAC Director Pablo “Ka Lito” Beltran, Ms. Cha Pagdilao, & 2022 Chairman, Officers and artists/painter members of the Pinsel Art Society, former Photoworld Asia chairmen, and FPPF personnel and staff photographers who assisted during  the launching ceremonies.

           The scintillating project was a joint collaborative effort of renowned leading professional photographers from the Federation of Philippine Photographers Foundation, Inc. (FPPF), and the professional participating artist/painters of the Pinsel Art Society capturing the splendors and the beauty of today’s Capital City of Manila through lenses and brushes. The photographs and the artworks features landscapes, citiyscapes, the land marks, and the urban life within the City and neighboring  Metropolis.

          Among the participating renowned leading professional photographers with their respective photographic works were James Singlador, Jose Maluya, Richmon Chi, Bert Briones, Revoli Cortez, Carlo Zamora, Boyet Guevarra, Joselito Arceta, Amir Alba, Chito Cleofas, Cha Pagdilao, Dewey Sergio, Dr. Ignacio San Gabriel and Art de Vera.

          The sixteen (16) promising professional participating artists/painters with their works of arts will include Romeo de Leon, Jaime de Leon, Raul Escobanas, Micas Dionisio, Clarissa Navidad, Baltazar Formaliza, Ting Alcala Ugay-Lagura, Elver Panuela, El Bravo, Napolexander Mina, Victor Sison, Ted Camahalan, Nick Dulay, Rey Dulay, Pampilo Taniag, Jr. and Rosalinda Roman.

 FPPF President Pablo Beltran says, “Manila has so many exciting beautiful landmarks and tourist spots attractions which many Filipinos have not fully visited and appreciated. The project is all about Manila and its Iconic Places. We are mounting this project together with the Pinsel Art Society, to encourage people to appreciate the importance and signifance of the beauty of the City and its neighboring Metropolis, through photographic visual images and colorful artistic paintings,”  Beltran said in his message during a telephone interview.

FPPF Executive Business Professional Guest Resource Speaker Ven Rojas II, said  that this coming January 28, 2022  another “Paintography” (painting and photography) exhibition with “Photographs of Wild Birds” as its subject to be painted on a canvass by renowned promising artists/painters from the Pinsel Art Society. Wild birds exhibition photos were photographed by the  professional members of the Wild Birds Photographers of the Philippines (WBPP) and FPPF professional photographers. The “Paintography Exhibits” will be part of the FPPF Photoworld Asia 2022 Trade Show Expo slated from January 28-30, 2022, to be held at the Fort Santiago Trade Show Exhibition Grounds in Intramuros, Manila, Rojas told the author during an interview.
