The Filipino community in Den Haag will commemorate the 120th Anniversary of the Philippine Independence Day on 16th June 2018 in Zuiderpark Den Haag (The Hague) with a theme: "Magkaisa Sa Bagong Umaga, Bagong Pag-asa".The program will start at 11:00 until 17:30.
The celebration will highlight the Filipino traditional and modern dances by different organizations. Aside from this, there will be Filipiniana Fashion Show, an Essay contest, On-the-Spot Drawing contest andgames.
To give more flavor to the festivity, the different organizations (FILMIS, MCVO, JIL, Ateneo-LSE, MABIKAs and Migrante) are preparing traditional Filipino foods for our kababayans who will join the celebration.
What makes the Philippine Independence Day celebration in Den Haag more unique from the rest is its tradition of keeping the event non-commercial and more interactive.
