PHL EMBASSY ADVISES FILIPINOS ON JOB OFFERS IN POLAND
14 August 2015 The Philippine Embassy in Warsaw advises the Filipino community in Poland to be discerning of job offers in Poland that impose fees on applicants. Such job offers which require applicants to pay for work and residence permits may not be legitimate.
Based on the information provided by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA), Polish work permits are issued by Voivode where the company or place of residence of a person who hires an employee or the company to which a foreigner is assigned, is registered.
The MFA also clarified that work permits are issues solely at the written request of the employer who plans to hire a foreigner. The employer bears all the necessary fees and charges for the administrative proceedings as regards the hiring process.
The MFA also does not recommend making any payments to entities which offer work or demand payment for obtaining a work permit in Poland. The reliability of job offers and related documents should be verified with the relevant Offices of the Voivode (UrzdWojewdzki).
In individual cases, foreigners having doubts as to the reliability of entities that offer jobs in Poland can check these offers directly with the Polish consular offices board.
