Cadaatan Kortemark gives Euro 15,000 (Php 780,000) donation to Philippines’ schools

After a busy 2012, the people of Cadaatan Kortemark remain very active. Because of the successful organization of the second Philippines market, Krekerock, Rockcafe and the Winter barbecue, we are capable of supporting our projects financially.
At the occasion of the 3th Philippine market in Kortemark, they gave a donation of 15 000 Euro to the schools from San Remigio, Cebu, in the Philippines.
10 000 Euro will be used for the feeding project that the association has been supporting for several years already.
15 schools receive monthly an amount of rice, depending on the number of students in the school. Monthly, over 5000 students receive food from our association.
To make further expansion possible, also the farm will be supported with 5 000 Euro.
It is the aim to make the feeding project self-financeable with the profits of the farm.
Until now the farm is not profitable yet and it needs to be expanded to become profitable.
Today, 10 sows are present at the farm and we will try to increase this number to make profit.
