Durham Crossover Basketball elite program on its first year of joining the Ontario Basketball Association resulted with great success. Known as Crossover Elite the club joined at the following age divisions U11, U12, U13 and U14.
Crossover Elite U11 started the season with a bang winning gold at their first ever OBA sanctioned tournament held at Bill Crothers in Markham. The team continued to follow it up with a silver finish at the DC Slam Classic and a bronze medal at the Hoop Dome Invitational tournament.
With this wins the team composed mainly of Fil Canadians and headed by Coach Tone Alfonso and Bogs Pascual qualified for the Provincials where they capped their season with a gold medal finish beating the taller East York Eagles at the finals.
Crossover Elite U13 headed by Coach Michael Carbonel and Cris Yusay will not be left alone with a gold medal finish at Mumba Invitational and also capture bronze at the Ontario Provincials despite having only 7 players. Coach Michael call his ward the few, proud and elite.
Biggest revelation this season are the Crossover Elite U12 and U14 which despite coming short at the provincials had the most success during the regular season. Crossover Elite U13 won gold at DC Slam Classic and IEM Invitational. Crossover U14 on the other hand won gold at the Mumba Invitational, silver at DC Slam Classic and bronze at the Hoop Dome Invitational. Coach Bryan Morales and Coach Imory Bisarra handled the U12 while Coach Michael Hukom and Francis Noel led the U14.
Crossover Elite is a program under Durham Crossover Basketball that participates at the Ontario Basketball Association and other elite tournaments. Program is open to all players with advance skill set and can attend tryouts held after the Labor Day Long weekend in September.
