AGAPI’s tourism officer Susana Agcaoili treated friends to her birthday lunch 22 March, one of the month-long celebratory socials her children planned to mark her 78th year.
Gathering at the Blacktown RSL East-West Buffet in Blacktown, Susing’s friends from seniors groups based in Fairfield, Marayong and Rooty Hill, feted her with songs, cakes and memories.
Youthful-looking Susing actively supports and participates in projects of AGAPI, or the Association of Golden Australian Pilipinos Inc., including dancing, fund-raising and catering.
Meanwhile, AGAPI president Dorothy del Villar stepped back temporarily from AGAPI activities to recuperate from her recent knee surgery.
Susing, with AGAPI members in tow, visited Dorothy in hospital and at home, assisting in whichever way they can, bringing food, keeping her company, or updating her on community events.
AGAPI was formed to promote the interests, welfare, and concerns of Filipino-Australian seniors in Western Sydney.
