The Philippine Teachers Association of Canada Slates 2018 Spring P.D. Workshop

Meaningfully meeting the concept of "lifelong learning", and teachers are adherents of this universal adage , the Philippine Teachers Association of Canada (PTAC) is holding its 2018 Professional Development workshop for its officers & members and other interested members of the public, as well.

The annual event will be held onSaturday, April 14th, from10am - 3pmat the North York Civic Centre, Room2, 5100 Yonge Street, North York ON, M2N 5V7, just off the North York subway station.

Invited professional presenters and guests include the very popular Canadian writer-musician Juan Tomas,who is himself a teacher and a newspaper columnist. Mr. J. Tomas is going to give a lecture presentation on "Effective Writing". Filipino Canadian Ms. Christienne Cuevas, a certified nurse - turned teacher and nowan occasional Teacher with the Toronto District School Board has confirmed to lead on the "Pronunciation" workshop, while a French teacher at the Dufferin-Peel Catholic School Board, Mr. Anthony Ferrary will share anddiscuss strategies on "Confidence-Building".

PTAC is an Ontario registered non- profit , volunteer-based socio-professional organization of teachers & educators with Filipino heritage is pursuing the free seminar to develop and enhance further personal and professional skills of participants in effective communication and interpersonal aspects .The decade-old Association has established partnerships and collaborative programs and projects with other stakeholders & community -based organizations.maintains . The whole-day workshop has been purposefully planned and organized so as to allow also more time for networking and fellowship opportunities among attendees. There is no fee to join the event and free refreshments & light lunch will be served.
