RSC Spearheads 1st Conference ‘Inter-Maranao’ Basketball Tournament in Saudi Arabia

Just last month, the Ranao Sports Commission (RSC) comprising of Filipino Muslim sports advocates & aficionados from Lanao del Sur grandiosely opened their ‘1st Conference Inter-Maranao Basketball Tournament’ at the Yamama Sports Complex in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia — a three-month basketball competition that will last until its grand championship night scheduled during the end of February 2016.
As of this writing, 10 participating teams from various Maranao community groups are right now doing their best — battling shoulder to shoulder — to reach the finals and comprising of: Shakba, Diwan, Marantao, Marawi, Baloi, Tamparan, Big Water, Butig, GAMAPO and Tugaya. In a nutshell, RSC ongoing event was made possible thru the strong and genuine leadership of the RSC Chairman Datu Allan Macabangkit, Vice Chairman Datu Sambo Bantuas, RSC Spokesperson, Eng’r. Saidi Malik, Secretary Datu Ding Capal, and Sport Commissioner Datu Faisal Pilingan with the support of Arab National Bank (ANB) TELEMONEY Team headed by ANB & Telemoney Marketing Representative Gob Dimalutang and ANB Marketing Executive Mr. Aladdin ‘Aden’ Guinar.
In attendance during the event includes Consul General & Charge d’ Affaires Eric C. Arribas of the Embassy of the Republic of the Philippines who delivered a remarkable message and expressed his appreciation to Ranao Sports Commission in promoting Filipino camaraderie and understanding through sports, members and officers of RSC, invited friends and guests, respective supporters of the 10 participating teams and marketing officials of ANB Telemoney.
And as the ‘Inter-Maranao’ 1
st Basketball Conference heats-up, RSC continuously invites all basketball fanatics to come and watch their every 3 PM every Friday/Saturday ‘basketball tit-for-tat battle’ which will last until the end of February. Ranao Sports Commission is one of the legitimate Filipino associations that promotes ‘non-stop’ Filipino connection, understanding and friendship among its members and friends, fellow Muslims and fellow Filipinos. –
