Carmelites Christmas Party in Scarborough

The Scarborough Carmel Community is one of the over 20 Carmel Communities in the Archdiocese of Toronto. Their main objective is to pray for the sick and distressed people in their community. Their members meet once a month for their religious classes and their "Council" meets more often to organized their lessons, masses, seminars and special meetings with other communities,
The members does their morning and evening prayers daily. The Scarborough Community is headed by President Erlinda de la Rosa, with Cory Concepcion, Cathy Dawson, May Tam, Mary Molinari, Josie Siao, Celia Sevilla assist her in the "Council". Their spiritual adviser is Fr. Dominic Borg.
Their Carmel Community is not praying only, but also celebrate their "Christmas" social together with their families.
They have a Carmel (OCDS) national level, headed by Presiden Gladys McMullin who looks after the general supervision and operation, including the general investiture of Carmel Communities in Canada. Last Oct. 16-18, 2015, over 200 Carmel delegates from all over Canada met in the National Convention at International Plaza Hotel in Toronto. Five postulants were inducted and 25 carmelites professed the First and Permanent Promise; and 2 professed their "Final Vow". Fr. Dominic Borg professed the "Final Vow" to Dolly Poblete of Scarborough Community on this convention.
