The evening of the 5th of December 2015 was a busy night for all the Samahan Lux members as they hosted their annual Christmas Party at the Double Tree Hilton Hotel in Luxembourg. As always it was a way to raise funds for their charity project. This year’s recipient is the Ramon Durano Foundation Home for the Aged in Danao, Cebu.

The event started with the customary welcome speech from the Samahan Lux president Mr. Gody Manalo followed by a prayer led by Mr. Miguel Enriquez. Emcees for the evening were Mr. Armand Curameng of Palermo, Sicily and Ms. Rochelle Molina of Hamilton, New Zealand.  Armand Curameng is known as Italy’s Filipino concert King who could host, dance and sing. The party started with slow ballads and after the 3 setting buffet dinner, the dancing begun. People trooped the dance floor as Armand performed a repertoire of disco songs.

To be able to raise fund… A search for Mrs. Santa was held, 5 lovely moms were selected and they sell raffle tickets during the party. Apart from this a contest for single ladies was also held…The search for the “Star of the Night” they passed the hat for some donations while Christmas carol were being sung.  Ms. Elena Lana won the search for Mrs. Santa and Ms. Jie Matao won the search for the Star of the Night both being able to raise the highest amount of cash donations.

A native dance “Dayang-Dayang” and a Hawaiian dance “Pearly Shell” were proudly presented by the Samahan Moms while a Line dance is performed by the Mabuhay Babes. Ms. Jessica Manalo, the 2014 winner of “The Voice of LNW” rendered a song “Runnin” by Beyonce. The party went on until 2 a.m. It was again a resounding success for Samahan as they were able to give their guests loads of fun and surprises. Everybody were already requesting for another one.

Special thanks goes to the following…Ms. Elena Lana of Mabuhay Garden Café, Bernadette Robles of My Cake Creations, Wilma Putz of Asia Shop Mettendorf Germany. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Faber of Boucherie Faber-Lopez, Grace Juico of  Meng Droggerie, Lourdes Mendoza Fabris, Fe Mendoyos, Eden Jumawan-Enriquez, Levy Magalonga, Myrna Largonio of Philux Nail Studio, Sharon Mendoza, Flor Hermes, Jie Matao, Ms. Dayna, Ms. Marivic Sandoval, Isabel Frisch and to all the members and friends of Samahan Lux asbl.
