PHL EMBASSY IN TRIPOLI NON-CORE STAFF TO RELOCATE TO TUNISIA
28 July 2014 – Due to the increasing violence and lawlessness in Tripoli, all non-core staff of the Philippine Embassy there are being relocated to Tunisia. Staff dependents were repatriated last week.
Male officers and staff augmented by the Rapid Response Teams remain in Tripoli to oversee OFW repatriation under Alert Level 4 which calls for mandatory evacuation.
Meanwhile, the Philippine Embassy in Tripoli continues to strongly urge Filipinos to enlist for evacuation before all routes and options become extremely difficult.
30 FILIPINO REPATRIATES FROM LIBYA TO ARRIVE IN MANILA TOMORROW
28 July 2014 – Thirty (30) more Filipino repatriates from Libya are scheduled to arrive in Manila tomorrow at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 1.
Twenty four (24) of them are set to arrive at 4:00 p.m. on board QR926, while the remaining six OFWs will arrive at 4:35 p.m. on board EK332.
On July 27, 42 OFWs from Libya arrived in Manila at 10:10 p.m. on board EK334 while five OFWs arrived today at 4:35 p.m. on board EK332.
Tomorrow’s arrivals would bring the total number of repatriated Filipinos from Libya to 708. They will be briefed and assisted by DFA and the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) representatives at the airport.
While Alert Level 4 remains raised in Libya, the DFA urges all Filipino nationals to immediately contact the Philippine Embassy in Tripoli and register for repatriation. Filipinos can contact the Embassy through the telephone numbers (00218) 918-244-208 / (00218) 911061166, and the e-mail addresses
