Guests are urged to dress up in their sparkles and wedges or in retro ‘70s clubbing-inspired fashion.

Known for its catchy melodies, the Hotdog hit songs included Manila, Annie Batungbakal, Bongga Ka Day, Beh, Buti Nga, Ikaw ang Miss Universe ng Buhay Ko, Bitin sa Iyo and  Langit na Naman, among others. Mostly penned by brothers Rene and Dennis, these hits songs have survived three decades of music fads and were in fact covered by pop artists and alternative bands like Gary Valenciano, Eraserheads, Side A Band, Parokya ni Edgar, Nikki Gil, True Faith, Daniel Padilla and Donna Cruz.

In one interview Dennis Garcia said “all our songs were based on universal human emotions and those feelings never go out of style. We’ve made it a point to write songs with real insights,” referring to how their songs have endured over 30 years of music trends.

There is no doubt that Manila tops the Hotdog hits, known and used worldwide, especially by Filipinos overseas who longed for the sights, sounds and scent of the Manila they left behind.

The band has evolved over the years resulting to changes in its members. However, it is worth noting that the original members were Rene (vocals/lead guitarist) and his  brother and co-founder Dennis (bass guitar), their uncle Tito del Rosario (rhythm guitar), Ella del Rosario (lead vocals), Ramon “Mon” Torralba (second lead guitarist), Lorrie Ilustre (keyboards), Jess Garcia and Roy Rivera (drummers). Female members who later joined the band and moved on to launch their own solo careers included Zsa Zsa Padilla, Ella del Rosario and Maso Diez.

Present day band members are Rene Garcia, Froilan Sadicon, Leonard Bergera, Paul Clark, Leonard delos Santos, Lehi Rebosura and Alberto Medrano.  The band is currently involved in benefit concerts throughout the Philippines to help in rebuilding the country after the devastation caused by hurricane Yolanda.

Tickets for both nights are available at $75 which includes dinner, table seating and access to pre-show dancing that will start at 7:30 p.m.; and $50 which includes a cocktail drink and standing room access that will open at 8:30 p.m. The bar and hot table will be open for the whole night.

The Hotdog concert starts at 9 pm, followed by live DJ music from 11 p.m. - 2 a.m.

Danilo “Sani” Baluyot, Events Director and Overall in-charge of production at Primetime Events Group, announced that they are giving discounted rates to groups or associations who will book a table for 10 people exclusively for the Sept. 12 (Friday) dinner-dance concert.
