The International Centre for Disability and Rehabilitation- Philippine Working Group (ICDR Philippines) is pleased to announce that the 4th annual Dinner of Hope will be held on September 22, 2018 in Toronto, ON. This fundraising gala raises funds for innovative and sustainable projects in the Philippines in partnership with persons with disabilities and various disability organizations.

In line with this exciting event, ICDR Philippines is accepting nominations for the 2018 Apolinario Mabini Memorial Lecture. · should have a demonstrated passion in their chosen career, with preference given to individuals whose projects impact and benefit persons with disabilities

· should ideally have projects or activities in the Philippines that directly impact disability partners or health networks

· should have a good moral character

Recipients of this award will:

· have the opportunity to deliver the 30-minute Apolinario Mabini Memorial Lecture highlighting her or his disability-related work and enlightening the audience about her or his commitment to advancing social justice

· receive a plaque of appreciation from ICDR Philippines and will officially be recognized as the 2018 Apolinario Mabini Memorial Lecture

· have a project in the Philippines named after her or him

If you or someone you know in your organization or community epitomizes the qualities that embody the Apolinario Mabini Award, we would like to hear from you! Please send your one-page nomination form highlighting the candidate’s achievements by June 30, 2018 to (Co-Chair, ICDR Philippines).  Both the nominee and the nominator should give consent to being contacted by ICDR Philippines.
