At a recent fundraising event of the influential 25-year old Philippine Independence Day Council(PIDC) held on December 19, 2014 at Max Restaurant , Levitt in his brief address, stressed his continued respect and admiration for the Filipinos, having met and befriended countless Pinoys in the course of his social & business engagements and now, in his political journey
Within the political spectrum, Michael has the solid endorsements of Liberal Party stalwarts and Federal & Provincial po[itical leaders among which are : former Ontario Premier , Liberal Party leader and MP Bob Rae,Senator & ex-MP & Toronto Mayor Art Eggleton, MPP Monte Kwinter, MP Carolyn Bennett, MP Irwin Cotler and MPP Dr. Eric Hoskins.
An immigrant himself, Michael came to Canada at age 13 in which "his mother Edna raised and taught him the positive impact one can make in the lives of others".
