Get Together of Filipino Seniors in the Netherlands

Facilitators of the activity are: Cora Alarcon, Yvonne Belen, Myrla Danao, Nora van der Does, Diana Oosterbeek-Latoza, Marlene Macatangay, Salome Panoy and Cesar T. Taguba. The EMCEE is Ms. Marlene Macatangay.  

Registration of participants will be from 13:30-14:00 hours with Ms. Cora Alarcon and Ms. Rose Slotema-Haboc taking charge. The programme begins with a welcome address and background of the day’s activity by Dr. Yvonne Belen. Afterwards, the Rev. Cesar Taguba will speak on the theme, “Ageing Gracefully.” After his talk, the participants will break out into groups and discuss the topic, “Sharing our Issues as Seniors in the Netherlands.” For the break, there will be a potluck merienda. Later on, the Rev. Cesar T. Taguba will give a summary of the day’s activity with conclusions, recommendations and concrete actions. Singing and dancing will follow. Before this part though, the participants will choose the host of Filipino Senior’s Day in 2017. Ms. Dyanne Oosterbeek-Latoza, Chairperson of Stichting Bayanihan’s Board of Directors, will give the closing remarks.
