RIYADH: Isang makabuluhang araw ang ika-29 ng Hulyo 2016 para sa mga batang nagnanais magkaroon ng pormal na kaalaman sa paglalaro ng basketball at patuloy na maisagawa ang kinahihiligang isport dahil sa pagbibigay-daan sa pormal na pagbubukas ng White Camel Youth Basketball Camp-WCYBC na ginanap sa RKH Skydome, dito.

Tatakbo nang isang taon ang basetball camp kung saan lingguhan ang ensayo. 80 bata ang naka enroll dito na kapwa mga anak ng OFW sa Riyadh. Inaasahan na sa loob ng isang taon, maipalalabas nito ang angking-galing ng mga bata sa paglalaro ng basketball. Bukod dito, sila ay nakatakdang ikatawan ang Riyadh sa mga inter-GCC competitions na inaasahang gaganapin bago matapos ang taong kasalukuyan at sa mga unang buwang ng 2017 na gaganapin sa Qatar at iba pang GCC countries.

Ang WCYBC ay isang grupo ng mga eksperto at eksperyensiyado sa larangan ng basketball na ang hangarin at layunin ay maturuan ng basics in basketball ang mga batang edad 5 pataas at linangin ang kanilang likas na galing bilang paghahanda na rin sa isang magandang kinabukasan nila sa larangan ng basketbol.

Kabilang sa mga bumubuo ng WCYBC na nagbigay ng oras at panahon para maisakatuparan ito ay sina Roel Asay-Co-Founder/President, Ric Garcia-Co-Founder/Vice President, Behnz Quilang-Co-Founder/Director, Nemen Cabatuando at Rolando Tanael-Board of Trustees, Jojo Ben-Ball Handling & Dribbling Station, Boy Yabut at Robert Tadeo-Shooting & Lay-up, Ronald Timan-Passing Station, Richard Asay-Defense & Rebounding, Lawrence Chang-Conditioning/Athletic Trainer, Dolly Dela Cruz-Asay-Administrative Head, Shirly Pereyra-Garcia-Secretary/Head Medical Team, Ace Fernandez-Finance/Treasurer, June Cyril Al Mebki-Special Coach/Director Uniform, Remeer Elnas-Registration/Scheduling, Ian Bacerra-Videographer/Photographer at Anne Tiongson at Katrina Dalisay-Muse.

Masasabing isang malaking tagumpay ang opisiyal na pagbubukas ng basketball camp dahil sa tulong at suporta ng Philippine Airlines (PAL)- Ricky Pacquing, Virgin Mobile-Zoriel Gaffud, PEAK Sodas Sports-Darren Carte, Flash Cargo-Arnold Dela Cruz at PSMMC- Ibrahim Al Hajlan-Head of Sports Affairs at Abdulmohsen Al Masaad-Deputy Head of Sports Affairs.
