MS. PHILIPPINES FIRST RUNNER-UP AT MS. INTERCONTINENTAL 2015

28 December 2015 – Binibining Pilipinas Intercontinental Christi Lynn McGarry was crowned Miss Intercontinental Queen of Asia and Oceania and bagged the First Runner-Up title at the recently-concluded Miss Intercontinental 2015 in Magdeburg, Germany on December 13.

Ms. McGarry is a Filipino-American from Jersey City, New Jersey. This was the second time that McGarry competed at the Miss Intercontinental. She previously competed in 2010 when she won Mutya ng Pilipinas Asia and the Pacific and made it to the top 15. 

Last year, the Philippines was represented by Ms. Kris Tiffany Janson who was 2^nd Runner-Up at the pageant, which was also held in Magdeburg.

Ms. McGarry thanked her family, the Philippine Embassy, and members of the Filipino community for supporting her on pageant night. She said, “It is an honor to represent our country. Thank you for your support. I am content with my performance at the competition.  This is for you Philippines, laban Pilipinas!” 

McGarry also expressed her joy over fellow Binibining Pilipinas title holder Pia Alonso Wurtzbach winning the 2015 Miss Universe pageant in Las Vegas, Nevada.
