NYPAA to Host Basketball League and Free Basketball Clinic for Toronto Youth

Fully -and- truly meeting its commitment to youth development through meaningful sports programs, the 15-year old North York Pinoy Athletic Association, is conducting a free Youth Basketball Clinic special program every Friday beginning September 26, 2014. Alongside the program is the holding of a Basketball House League during the Fall/Winter Season of 2014.
Both programs are to be held at Antibes Community Centre, located at 140 Antibes Drive, North York, Toronto (Bathurst/Finch area). Clinic is first come-first served and In-Person Registration starts on September 19, 2014 from 7 PM to 9 PM at the Lower Level of the Centre. Scheduled gym times are: 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM for 11 years old & under and 8:00 PM - 10:00 PM for 14 years old and under.
The Basketball Clinic, which is offered free, will engage and introduce youth participants to basketball playing fundamentals such as basic dribbling, shooting skills, passing, ball handling and teamwork. For the House League Youth Competition however, there is a Registration Fee of $55 that will cover costs for a top jersey and medal for each participating player.
The NYPAA Youth program is headed by its Sports Commissioner Victor Montero, and solidly assisted by Renato & Sharonne Columbano, Jessie Diwa, Mylene Escalona, Jimi & Tina Fernandez, Christian Lalicon, Joanne Ligsay, Homer Obille, Tim Sinclair, Mark Victoria, and Jesse Pacetes, NYPAA President. Providing guidance and technical support are NYPAA founders: Ed Sotto, Vilma Tahsin, Roger Tarca and Bob San Juan(TSJ).
