FilOz Couple Chris and Josie Pilao celebrates their 50^th Wedding Anniversary

The children of Chris and Josie Pilao Bong, Jane and Gina, their spouses and
children threw a 50^th wedding anniversary bash at Rooty Hill RSL 11 November, bringing Josie Pilao close to tears at the unexpected gesture.



Australia Philippines Services League (APSL) guests, sworn to secrecy by daughter Jane Pilao-David, kept a straight face during the Remembrance Day rites in the morning so as not to let slip the secret.


We chose to go on a pilgrimage to the Holy Land instead of having a big celebration, said Josie. We had our renewal of renewal of vows in Cana, which makes our 50^th anniversary meaningful.


The Pilaos also renewed their vows on the night in front of almost 200 guests.

Meanwhile, several APSL members attended the Sydney Australian Filipino Seniors Inc (SAFSI) 30^th anniversary lunch at the Blacktown Workers Club.
