Optimism on Patriotism

At times, all it takes to make a huge difference is to initiate a small change. What are dreams if they are not impossible at face value? Many of us Filipinos have stopped hoping and have given up our faith on a newly-industrialized Philippines. We are fed up on the corruption in our government causing many of our professionals seek opportunities abroad who eventually settle in the foreign land and renouncing our being Filipinos, literally and/or figuratively.
This is a grim reality. Majority might have given up on our dear Pinas but I do believe that there are still advocates of Patriotism scattered around the globe injecting optimism in different medias using SOUL TALK to plow determinedly through winning back one's love for our country. This sympathetic approach helps a lot in awakening patriotism in the hearts of the younger generation: the pliant ones.
The strongest power comes from joining our heart-centered intentions, let those of us who wish to act to spill the profound reasons why they never cease from loving our HOME and find others of a like mind. This act will lead us into awakening our love for our country.
On the other hand, those who had given up their faith on a BETTER PHILIPPINES have fed themselves on this clichd notion that corruption gives birth to all evils in the country; feeling anger or hatred towards "those" who "created" this what they call "sunken Philippines". Little did they know that doing so won't help. They're only depriving their own land the chance to rise and shine again.
We will never be the clear channels of transformational miracles if we're busy running around trying to "spank" the "bad guys". Let's put our energies on healing the Philippines especially with its new President whom we have given the mandate for a real change. Ask what our homeland needs from us
Promoting patriotism is such an Herculean task and could be vaguely manifested and carried out but it will work. We could start in our social network by simply caring for our fellow's feelings. Love for one's country is not a business proposition and must not be ruthlessly executed for personal gain only. When we try to effect change and transform fellow Pinoy's attitude on nationalism, let us do it through healthy conversation avoiding fatigue and conspiratorial tones. Our love for our brothers and sisters should emanate right from our very own words. We could never push things prematurely, or we might end up with a bad taste in the mouth.
If we chose to curl up with our faith, hope and trust, surely they can't grudge us that because we don't want to be among their flock of hopelessness. They don't seem to realize that they have become the modern "tulisan". So modern that they make our civil servants their source of mockery. They never recognize the good side of the government, such faultfinders! When these people retire and reach the twilight, won't they long coming HOME? When they are no longer productive they seek refuge to their homeland. There, they shall feel the pangs of regrets.
Life is too short to ponder on things that couldn't be changed. Retaliation seems to be a way of life. You act, somebody reacts. Let us not be moved by what people tell us but stick on our own belief and principles. From there, we will all be guided accordingly.
