       One weekend last week saw the collaboration between three leading dance companies in a week of new works, revivals and a special run of Giselle as a tribute to dance icon, Felicitas “Tita” Radaic.

A fairly good audience attended the send off concert of the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra Friday night and they were not disappointed.
        The 80-strong national orchestra under Olivier Ochanine did more than project its solid sound; it also sounded inspired and at par with its soloist, violinist Diomedes Saraza, Jr. who shone in the Sibelius violin concerto.

Pablo A. Tariman writes regularly on the performing arts in the Philippine Daily Inquirer and Yahoo News.

He also contributes film reviews and theater profiles for the Philippines Star and the defunct Philippines Free Press.

He has organized music festivals in Baguio City, Legaspi City, Isabela, Cagayan and Catanduanes, among others.

He was born in Baras, Catanduanes and has three daughters and three grandchildren.
