Tom Baena, President of the City of Blacktown RSL Sub Branch

He initially joined in 2004 the Customs House RSL Sub Branch and later transferred to Rooty Hill RSL Sub Branch in 2005 and in 2006 transferred to the City of Blacktown RSL Sub Branch.
He had previously served the Sub Branch in various roles as Pension Officer, Publicity Officer, Delegate to the Far Western Metropolitan District and as Chairman/Coordinator of the Sub Branches three (3) Youth Programs namely; the Alf Ross Memorial Scholarship Scheme, The Kokoda Track Youth Challenge and the Young Endeavour Youth Adventure Scheme.
The City of Blacktown RSL Sub Branch is one of the biggest Sub Branch in NSW. Eligibility to become an RSL Sub Branch Service Member:
Any person who has served in the Australian Defence Force, or served with or supported or was otherwise engaged with the Australian Defence Force or the Armed Forces of its Allies, for at least 6 months, or any other person provided for in the [RSL] Constitution, may be admitted to Service Membership.
