Sa Pagpasok ng Bagong Taon
By Esther C. Javier

Tue 18th December 2012

Kahit saan may Christmas party, exchange gifts, at palaro

Wala kang katulad, mahal kong Ina
Kaloob ka ng langit sa aming pamilya
Uliran ka ng kabaitan at sobrang pasensiya
Sa mga anak...

With parents of baby boomers like us fast approaching the grave - usually lingering in illness, this poem is something for us all to ponder on. Why wait when our dear mothers have passed away, unable to read/hear our appreciation for all they've done for us? As one email says - send me roses now while I can still smell and appreciate them.
    Author Esther C.Javier

Esther Javier is a dear friend (former teacher, has a lovely voice and is often invited to sing). Her husband was the General Superintendent of the Assemblies of God in the Philippines, is known internationally in Christian circles; did a lot of translation for renowned evangelist Billy Graham, among other things. They live in the Philippines - despite several opportunities and offers to live in the U.S.

Hope you appreciate this poem - and PUBLISH it!
    Thank you!
