A noted Filipino Canadian educator and leader in the community, Tony A. San Juan, OCT, has been invited to speak at the Proudly Pinoy Day in celebration of Asian Canadian Heritage Month in Canada. The annual free event is being organized and sponsored by Toronto Catholic District School Board(TCDSB) on May 11, 2013, Saturday, 9:30a.m.-4:00 p.m. at Blessed Pope John Paul II Catholic Secondary School , 685 Military Trail, south of Highway 401 / west of Morningside Road, in Scarborough, Toronto., Canada.

Recently, a modest  and low-key  education leader in the Filipino Canadian community receives a special recognition award from his peers and colleagues in the teaching profession. Tony A. San Juan, a long-serving head honcho of the Philippine Teachers Association of Canada, is a recipient of the 105-member organization's meritorious award for "Outstanding Leadership Excellence " .
