We look at the plights of Foreign Workers especially in the Middle East and we will hear horrifying stories of abuse and fraudulent employments. Some of them are able to escape and are lucky to be able to leap from that place and come to a country where humanity and compassion reign. There are still abuses over here but milder and the Caregivers can take it with a grain of salt.

There is always that question as to the relevance of obtaining a degree back in the Philippines when you actually end up working in the household of strangers. An issue I have been hammering in my entire life since I also became one of those eating on top of the dishwasher in a Chinese household. I am a writer who never used other names to shove an issue in people's throat. There is something wrong at being called 'Modern Day Heroes' if we could define what act of heroism a domestic helper does to be fitting to such accolades.
But we will not dwell on that because Maria Liezel Malicay is one of those who made it to Canada after working for four long years in Saudi Arabia. Someone who loves ballroom, and Latin American Dances. I think I should avoid her before I twist my ankle. Maria Liezel Malicay is well- rounded who can also sing and at the same time can bend and swirl and turned turtle in style as a fan of gymnastics.
Watching the Miss Caregiver 2016 from the upper row during the competition, contestant # 7 proved to be a favorite. Maria Liezel Malicay joined the competition to prove one thing; there are angels without wings. This senior nurse at a university hospital in Saudi Arabia strongly believe that Caregivers are angels. Their passion, dedication and their commitment in providing the best care to their clients are a different kind of nobility. Having a Master's Degree in Nursing certainly broadens Liezel's perspective of what it means to serve with your heart to those who are incapable of doing it. Liezel has a caring passion and being a nurse will also give her wings to reach her dreams to go abroad.
Growing up with six older brothers and a sister, Liezel's mother balances the feminine imbalance by guiding her and developing her potential as a woman. Her mom, a teacher, encourages her to excel and put her on school programs to develop her talent in singing and dancing.
This article will not be your last to really know her. Empowered women... don't hide in darkness. They come and conquer and Miss Caregiver 2016 will prove this right. Remember the name...
MARIA LIEZEL MALICAY is Miss Caregiver 2016!
