This is a story of my life summarized:
Behind the ART:
“I am thankful that I have learned from the best art professors. Who should take credit for stimulating my creativity and originality! Now I have developed a process where my painting will never be easily replicated.”
~ Jensen Moreno
Martijn Horters and Jensen met in Beijing last year. Martijn is a football coach, cyclist and Physical Ed Teacher. He is a great man who inspired Jensen to feel and see the beauty of life and love in a different perspective.
Behind the ART:
Huang Jiannan, 60, has garnered fame both in and outside of China. His works praised by the art community where his pieces sold at high prices.
Huang is a skilled painter who specializes on landscapes. He has a propensity for bright colors in his works. He prefers the techniques of traditional ink painting. While combining with Western-featured oil painting. That helped shaped his pieces in a style that is his own.
For Huang, success isn't born out of pure luck.
"If an artist mimics the work of great masters, his own artwork will be a repeat. The nature of art is to be original and creative. But this talent must be on hard work and persistence."

Q: Who among the famous art masters do you admire the most?
A: I am always fascinated by Dutch artists especially Rembrandt and van Gogh. They showed very different techniques in the highest level of creativity. I was in awe seeing their works in person when I went to the Rijk’s Museum and Mauritshuis in the Netherlands. It was a very different feeling seeing them on pages of books and facing them 1 foot in front of you. I looked at hundreds of paintings by many Renaissance artists in Europe but still these two artists’ works were supreme for me. The use of colors, the techniques, the charismatic appeal of the whole composition of their works made me feel emotions I never felt before.
Q: Every success comes with a price, can you share difficult experiences before getting to this point of your career?
A: I have met people from all walks of life, people with different personalities, high profiled people, some celebrities, simple ordinary people but not all the time you get the treatment you deserve. But you learn from your experiences with people. Sometimes, those who are already on the top are the ones who were more humble. Maybe because they have experienced so much struggles in life and were patient enough to pursue their goals. They have so much discipline and resilience that’s why they were able to reach the top. I think most importantly they were very open-minded. Some of them shared their stories of hopes, dreams, dedication combined with hardwork. Also, they have great beliefs on their potentials.
Q: Have you ever think of quitting teaching and just focus on your art?
A: Yes I do think about it sometimes because teaching is not an easy job. The responsibility sometimes is overwhelming but when I think about how I can be an instrument for these students and be a role model and inspire them to be successful in life, I started to think twice again. Through my passion, I can be a good influence to children all over the world and create this world a better place. And that is one of my life’s purposes I believe. God did not give me this talent for nothing.
Q: What is your advice to your fellow Filipino artists in the Philippines who look up to artists like you?
A: I can only tell them not to give up even if they have failed hundreds of times. In that way, they are giving themselves a chance to learn, to grow and to achieve success after success after success. Have faith and recover strong every time you fall down.
Q: What are your other plans in the future as a Cultural Ambassador of Art?
A: Future plans are always there. I am pretty sure that God’s plans are always better than mine. I always say in my interviews that I will continue to create art. Creating it involves a lot of different things. I am looking forward to working together with people who shares the same passion with me. There is definitely more to come from “Jensen Moreno’s Art Life” so watch out! One of the things is the release of my first art book this year. I am excited about it and whatever comes along with it.
