PIDC's "COMMUNITY PARADE OF FIESTAS" in TORONTO

To be led by Toronto Mayor John Tory, Philippines Consul General Rosalita Prospero and PIDC President Norma Carpio, the parade begins at 3:00pm.
Over 300 participants will partake in the parade along the streets of Toronto with Philippine Heritage Band (PHB), Leaders of the Community, business owners, PIDC beauties and alumni, other Beauty Pageants participants, Toronto Police Services Community Response Unit, and revellers with Music accompaniment. Converging from Armoury Street, the parade route turns right on University Avenue going North, turns right onto Dundas Street West going East, turns right onto Yonge Street, going South, turns right onto Queen Street going West and using the Bay Street ramp along the Queen Street sidewalk, entering towards the City Hall grounds ending on the left side of the stage

Participants are welcome to bring their own costumes, banners, flags, t-shirts, and other items that will identify and uniquely distinguish them and their associations or affiliations. Trophies will be awarded to the winners. A trophy will be given to the most number of participants in the parade, the best costumes, and the most energetic and lively contingent. There will be lots of surprises during the event and this is the best time to promote and advertise your own associations and affiliations or as an individual and business.

As well, the Philippine Independence Day Council (PIDC) invites you
on September 3 to 4, 2016 to celebrate its 18th year Anniversary of the 2-Day signature event, the
"MABUHAY PHILIPPINES FESTIVAL" at Nathan Phillips Square, Toronto's famous landmark, where the Pan Am Games' "Toronto" sign is still erected. Perfect for selfies and background for memorable pictures.
The highlight of the festival event is the
"FASHION SHOW" featuring the renowned international designers, Aisha Penalosa, Jaki Penalosa from Iloilo City, Philippines, Kenneth Barlis from San Diego, California and Merriam Goldberg from Toronto, Ontario. Miss Bea Rose Santiago. Miss International 2013 is the feature model in the runway at 9:00pm on Saturday, September 3rd.
