Ahh...summer !!! A real time for outdoor relaxation under the great Canadian sunshine . Yes, folks. Taking advantage of the mix warm and balmy weather, the members and officers of the Cavitenos Association of Canada, together with their families and friends enjoyed a fun-filled and diet-busting weekend at the popular Earl Bales Park in North York, Toronto, Ontario on July 16, 2016.
With
kababayans from the historical- and- revolutionary province of Cavite, the revelers got together and proudly shared their home-cooked favourites and traditional potluck dishes with their guests and family members.
Both young and old former natives of the Tagalog- speaking province joined in and participated in the park games, fellowship, bantering and exchanging pleasantries and memories of what's best and famous ...people, places and events.....of their respective hometowns.
Of course, no other than the Toronto Consul General of the Philippines, Hon. Rosalita Prospero, was in joyful attendance who sportingly graced the annual picnic of the Association's 33rd summer gathering. The organization has been a regular and active member of the Filipino Canadian social and professional communities in the Greater Toronto Area ( GTA) , working and contributing its desirable share in promoting and undertaking its mission and mandate towards a lively, purposeful and socially-conscious Cavitenos and Cavitenas.
