155th Rizal Birthday at Earl Bales Park

The Philippine Consul General Rosalina S. Prospero led the laying of the Wreath during the Rizal Day celebration by Rizal Canada, at the Rizal Monument at Earls Bales Park in Toronto.
Consul General Rose S. Prospero was accompanied by
Host Commander Sir Dr. Romy Sinajon, KGOR and Chapter Commander Sir Delfin Palileo, KCR and Acting Region Commander Sir Ed Prillo, KGOR in the placing of the wreath. They were followed by the Region Council, other Commanders and Ladies' groups. Con Gen Rose Prospero gave an inspirational Message and Ms. Lilac Cana sang "Bayan Ko" for the guests.
The guests, then proceeded to the Earl Bales Park Community Hall, where they continued the indoor ceremonies and dinner. Host Commander
Sir Delfin Palileo, KCR, opened the indoor ceremonies, followed by the singing of the Nation Anthem. The "Panalangin" was led by
Sir Benjamin Dimaapi, KCR, "Adhikain ni Rizal" by
Sir Joaquin (Jojo) Taduran, Jr., KCR and the "Pledge of Allegiance" by
Sir Bert Mondragon, KCR. Host Commander
Sir Dr. Romy Sinajon, KGOR talked about the "Life of Rizal" including a video presentation by Sir Douglas Quimno, KCR, of the modernized "Dapitan Park", where Dr. Jose P. Rizal stayed. The ladies counterpart organization:
Lady Rose Cruz of Kababaihang Rizalista, Lady
Asun Ramos of the inspiration of Rizal,
Lady Mila Lupango of the Rizal Ladies and
Lady Lourdes Prillo of the KLoR gave their messages to the guests. The Rizal Youth group also read their message.
Acting Region Commander
Sir Ed Prillo, KGOR introduced the Chapter and other commanders and guests and did the formal closing remarks.
(He also mentioned that the absence of Region Commander Sir Jaime T. Marasigan, KGOR was due to concurrent induction of the Supreme Council in Manila on the same day, where Sir Jimmy was inducted as the Deputy Supreme Exchequer and Overseas Representative from Canada.) Sir Ed thanked the Knights and Ladies who made this event possible.
