Knights of Rizal Joined the Toronto Consulate Staff in their celebration of the 118th Anniversary of Philippine Independence

The Philippine Consul Celebrated the 118th Anniversary of the Declaration of Philippine Independence with ceremonies at their Toronto Consulate Office in Eglinton Ave. E., Toronto, on June 12, 2016.
Consul Bolivar Bao, Master of Ceremonies, started the program with the singing of the Philippine Anthem. He then briefed the guests of several historical fact regarding the Philippine Independence from the Spain.
Independence Day messages from the Secretary of Labor Hon. Rosalinda D. Baldoz, was read by Labor Attache Leonila V. Romulo; message from H.E. Ambassador Petronila P. Garcia was read by Consul Shirley E. Banquicio; message from Secretary of Foreign Affairs Jose Rene D. Almendras was read by Deputy Consul General J. Susana V. Paez; and message from H.E. President Benigno S. Aquino was read by Consul General Rosalita S. Prospero.
The Scarborough Ontario Seniors Association Rondilla played a number of musical numbers This was followed by a special number by the Nightingales. The guests were served a Salu-salo Filipino Breakfast.
The Knights of Rizal joined the Consulate Staff in this celebration.
