The cooking demonstration was made to promote the upcoming annual
Flavours of Auburn that will be held on Saturday, 31 October at the Auburn Centre for Community.
A brief introduction was given by Cen saying, “We Filipinos love to party and we take pride in sharing food from our beautiful country of origin, the Philippines. To us, sharing food is an integral part of our traditional hospitality”.
Cen revealed to the crowd, “The secret to the delicious Pinoy- style barbeque is to marinate the meat overnight, using a variety of common and easily accessible condiments”.
While the cooking demonstration was going on, the beautiful aroma of the grilled barbeque filled the air and attracted so many guests of the festival. They waited to have a taste of the chicken and beef barbeque and commented on how tasty our Philippine BBQ is!

Nick passed away last Tuesday, 10 September due to a work accident. He is survived by his wife Dory who operates a Lidcombe Beauty Salon and 4 adult children who are living in Hungary except Nicky who lives in Tasmania.
Nick was interned at St Marys Cemetery beside his beloved mum last Wednesday, 15 September after a jam-packed public viewing the night before in Granville Sympathy Funerals. The members of the community organisations that Nick was a member including some social acquaintances, financially contributed, donated food and organised all the bereavement-related activities that are traditionally done in the Philippines including a 9-day Novena for the Dead held at KCL Merrylands.
Dear Nick: Hindi naming kayo makalilimutan, tapat na kaibigan.
