15 May 2015 – Philippine Ambassador to Mexico Catalino R. Dilem, Jr. together with Administrative Officer Bernardo Bagalay met with five Filipina religious nuns from the Reparatrix Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus located in the scenic town of San Antonio, Portrerito in the State of Miranda in Venezuela. The Mother Superior of the congregation is Sister Delia Alinojan with Sisters Aurea Villarta, Elnora Saligan, Jean Severino and Ailyn Gardose serving with her. They perform religious duties as administrators of “Villa Pompeii” a house that provides care to the elderly and also as overseer of the day to day activities of the Sacred Heart Novitiate.
The Filipina sisters also perform apostolate and evangelical work in the community as well as conduct numerous youth formation activities not only inside their convent but in the parish church as well. The Filipina nuns are well liked and admired in the town of San Antonio because of their innate Filipino charm and cheerful disposition allowing them to penetrate all sectors of the Venezuelan society in order to perform their vows as missionaries of their religious order.
