Feel the heartbeats of beauties that never fade!..... 12th year of community service…empowering caregivers, transforming women and developing leaders!
As a tradition, Fil-core Support Group celebrates its yearly anniversary by highlighting the event with the crowning of Miss Caregiver Pageant Winner.
This year’s celebration is a milestone for founders and organizers of this group. For 12 years of community service, executive officers and members feel proud of what the organization have become. The ACHIEVEMENTS, year after year are the members motivation to do more. The impact of its advocacy has been instrumental for numerous numbers of caregivers who were assisted in their issues and concerns. As well as the women who were transformed by its signature event “Miss Caregiver Pageant”, a production that is almost a year in the making, a labor of love of the executive officers and working committees.
An event that meant to discover caregivers’ talent, bring back confidence and self esteem , mold and develop potential leaders that can advocate for educational development and social advancement of caregivers community.
The pageantry was conceptualized as an artistic way of educating both candidates and attendees of the event. Organizers witnessed the impact of the pageantry to our women. The transformations are quite remarkable, leaders being motivated and encouraged, skills being polished, personalities developed, and most of all the friendship and camaraderie they built.
Part of the funds that this event can raise will be given to two beneficiaries: San Francisco Elementary School, Mindoro Occidental Philippines. Fil-core will be spearheading the construction of Basketball court for Mangyan Society as well as an upgrade for a sanitary school canteen.
Miss Caregiver candidates 2015, Rhea Suarez, Beth Advincula, Mary Joy Guilab, Ma. Dina Romano, Mayla Manata, and Hergen Selvano would like to dedicate their triumphant journey to all caregivers in Canada who have left families back home and explore opportunities Canada can offer. These beauties were launched @ Pinoyradio with Pinoy Dreams team and some Philippine Press Club Ontario members, Judith Gonzales, Bong Molano and Shiela Camangian on May 17, 2015.
