Color, culture and diversity bubbled up around Schwiebert Riverfront Park in the form of a second line parade followed by participants from various countries who also showcase their culture through music, dance and other talents.

The 41 flags carried during the parade represent most of the countries where area immigrants and refugees are originally from.

A number of vendors also were on hand, offering wares such as wood carvings, jewelry and clothing that normally are not available in the Quad-Cities, Food vendors offering international cuisine. Festival D'ete was hosted by Quad City Alliance for Immigrants & Refugees (QCAIR)
QCAIR is a Quad Cities-based non-profit organization dedicated to building a Community among Quad City refugees and immigrants. The event was to raise the funds for projects related to issues and promote the organization's activities.
