Tinaguriang shooting master Allan Caidic dumating sa Riyadh

RIYADH: Hindi maikakaila ang lalim ng pagmamahal ng mga Pinoy sa larong basketball. Maituturing itong numero uno sa larangan ng isports. Nagbibigay ito ng malaking inspirasyon sa bawat manlalarong nagnanais magtagumpay sa larangang ito. Ika nga nila, basketball ang buhay ng mga Pinoy lalo na sa mga kalalakihan.

At bilang tugon sa pagbibigay-katuparan sa isa sa mga aktibidades ng White Camel Youth Basketball Camp sa Riyadh, pinagkalooban sila ng pagkakataon na madala dito ang tinaguriang ‘Shooting Master’ sa kasaysayan ng PBA (Philippine Basketball Association) sa katauhan ni Allan Caidic. Ito ay para sa tatlong araw na “Allan Caidic Shooting Camp” na inorganisa ng WCYBC.

Binansagang “The Triggerman,” hawak pa rin ni Caidic ang record sa kasaysayan ng PBA na may pinakamalaking score sa isang laro (79 points) at may pinakamaraming 3-point scores (17), na hanggang sa kasalukuyan ay wala pang nakakapantay. Bukod dito, isa siya sa mga itinuturing na “The Legends” ng PBA.

Sa kaniyang pagdating sa Riyadh, nagbigay ng isang welcome lunch ang isa sa mga 7 stars hotel sa buong mundo na nakabase sa Riyadh, ang The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Riyadh sa kanilang pamosong Al Orjouan Restaurant. Malaking pasalamat naman ng pamunuan ng hotel, sa inisyatibo ng mga Filipino staff dito para sa pagkakataon na mabisita ang kanilang hotel at restaurant ng isa sa mga kilalang personalidad sa Pilipinas.  

Ginanap naman ang meet-and-greet noong araw din iyon, ika-11 ng November 2016 sa Lulu Hypermarket Murabah. Isang patunay lamang ito sa angkin karisma at hatak ni Caidic sa mga tao dahil sa pagdagsa ng kanyang mga fans na nasa edad 35-45 years old isama pa ang mga batang naka enroll sa basketball camp. Pagkatapos ay naganap naman ang isang press conference sa 3rd floor kung saan dinaluhan ito ng mga local media members sa Riyadh – Arab News/Pinoy Xtra, Munting Nayon, TFC Balitang Global at The Pink Tarha.

Ang mga exhibition games, competitions among the enrollees at trainings ay isinagawa mula November 11-13, 2016 sa RKH Skydome.

Isang malaking tagumpay ang pagbisita ni Allan Caidic higi’t lalo ang iniwan nitong aral na natutunan ng mga bata sa larangan ng isports na basketbol. At dahil dito, inaasahan ang muling pagbabalik ni Caidic kasama ang iba pang mga tinaguriang mga ‘The Legends.’
