Christmas is here now! The holiday season is now upon us. It's time anew to honour and celebrate the birth of the great Messiah, our Lord Jesus, and to realize His great love for us and the beauty of loving and sharing amongst people.

True to their established mandates and parallel goals of pursuing programs and projects in respect to the promotion, preservation, and celebration of the rich and vibrant heritage and culture of their beloved native land, the Filipino Heritage Society of Montreal(FHSM) and the Filipino Heritage Council of Canada-Ontario(FHCC) are partnering to offer and present a Christmas virtual event on December 29, 2021, Wednesday at 7:00 PM.

With its holiday theme of "Paskuhan Sa Canada"( Christmas in Canada), the 2 heritage- focused organizations in Quebec and Ontario are collaborating for the first time of pooling resources in terms of engaging musical talents, cultural expertise, and technical knowledge in their respective jurisdictions thus producing a 2-hour show via YouTube and Facebook.

Invited to deliver their Christmas and holiday messages are the Prime Minister, the Philippine Ambassador to Canada, the Provincial Premiers, Members of Parliament, and other dignitaries. The virtual event is jointly headed by Al Abdon, Chairman of the Filipino Heritage Society of Montreal, and Joseph Redoblado, President of the Filipino Heritage Council of Canada. They are supported and assisted by their respective Board Directors, Executive Officers, and members.

Expected to be showcased in the online program are Filipino- Canadian performers and talents singing traditional and typical Christmas carols and the faith-filled rites and well-loved practices leading to and during the Paskuhan season.

Halina na kayo mga kababayan, kapamilya, kapuso, kapatid, at kaibigan, manood at magdiwang tayong lahat ngayong Kapaskuhan!( Let's go countrymates, family members, dearly beloved, brothers & sisters, and friends, and watch and celebrate together this Christmastime!)

Links to the virtual presentation will be announced soon through the FHSM and FHCC websites at filipinoheritagemontreal.com and filipinoheritagecouncilcanada.com, or via emails and , respectively. ( Tony A. San Juan)
