More APCO leaders trained in Event Management

By Richard J. Ford – PRO-APCO Inc
NSW-Australia
November 19, 2016

Since most of APCO’s affiliated organisations and community organisations in general, hold numerous events and big group activities every year, the leadership has decided to take advantage of the free TAFE accredited training on Event Management offered by Cumberland Council and delivered by the event industry practitioners and TAFE teachers.

APCO Founding President Dr Cen Amores, current President Pet Storey, Senior Vice President Larry Perez and wife Cora Perez and PRO Richard Ford joined other ethnic community leaders and Council workers in attending the three- Saturday classes.

It is hoped that the knowledge and skills the APCO officers gained from this training will be echoed to the other officers and general membership of APCO in order to benefit the community organisations that they represent. Up-skilling of community volunteers in community development in terms of more technical things rather than just “commitment” or “passion” to serve the community” is an organisational policy of APCO since it was organised in 2010. No wonder all its activities, events and projects are of high quality that Filipinos everywhere are proud of.
