Barangay Sang Birhen, Canada was started by the Azachees and Pobletes, with Joe & Leonie Manzanares and Romy and Leony Lopez in 1994 in Mississauga. Their main objective is to encourage the people to pray the Rosary daily, praying especially for the Filipino people in the Philippines and Canada. The icon of the Virgin is transferred to each families home every weekend, where the whole family prays the Rosary together.
