PHOTOWORLD ASIA 2021 VIRTUAL SUCCESS CONCLUDES WITH HIGHLIGHTS OF EVENTS

MANILA, Philippines – PHOTOWORLD ASIA 2021, the first-ever virtual hybrid international photographers’ conference  launched by the Federation of Philippine Photographers Foundation, Inc. (FPPF), last Jan. 29-31, 2021, successfully concluded with unprecedented virtual success highlighted by exciting events and activities.  PHOTOWORLD ASIA 2021 is the biggest and longest running annual photographic event of the Federation, which is now on its 35^th edition series since 1987.





The 3-day streamlined hybrid photographer’s convention was participated in by some 200-300 local and foreign delegates who actively and graciously interacted during the virtual meeting which was viewed by more than 6,000 to 8,000 Facebook viewers from around the world. PHOTOWORLD ASIA 2021 was hosted by FPPF Mentors Joe Galian and Ms. Jam Ramos, who acted as Moderators/Facilitators. The live streaming broadcast was transmitted thru the technical expertises of the KULAY BROADCASTING AND LIVE STREAMLING SERVICES, with internet signals transmission emanated from the Performing Arts and Recreations Center - DIGI-PARC Foundation with Hybrid Digital Studios at Lt. Artiaga Street, San Juan, Metro Manila.



PHOTOWORLD ASIA 2021 opening ceremonies started off with the Welcome remarks by the Program Master Host Cris Malinao, followed by a Solemn Prayers by Alex Agcaoili, and the introduction of this year’s PHOTOWORLD ASIA 2021 Chairwoman by Ms. Cris Cleofas. After the introduction Ms. Cynthia “Cha” Pagdilao delivered her Inaugural Address. A simple program was held at the PARC PWA 2021 Trade & Exhibits Showroom  participated in PARC and FPPF Officials,  Staff, Sponsors, Exhibitors and delegates. A special intermission number was presented by the PARC Aralan Music Ensemble scholars.



Among the Prominent Guests who graced the opening ceremonies were Mr. Joey Berroya. Digi-PARC Foundation Manager, (who cut the ceremonial ribbon during the opening PWA2021 Trade and Photo Exhibit, assisted by Mrs. Cynthia Lazo of Tourism Board Promotions.. Also present were FPPF Officials  and staff headed by FPPF Overall Chairwoman Eduvegis “Edi” Y. Huang, FPPF President PMAC Director Pablo “Lito” Beltran, 2021 PWA Chairwoman Cha Pagdilao, 2020 PWA Chairman James Singlador, 2013 PWA Chairwoman Ms. Cris Cleofas, Mr. Cris Malinao, Mr. Alex Agcaoili, Mr. Amir Alba, Ms. Rosanna Cortez, Mr. Chad Mallari, Mr. Arnold Perez , Mr. Romy Papa, Mr. Joey Capalla and Ms. Riza Mae Murphy.











Among this year’s exciting highlights of the the virtual conference, were the live and remote interaction and presentations of invited renowned speakers from Day 1- Jan. 29 - Morning Sessions - Master Photographer Heather Prince, Photoshop Guru Parc Cruz.  Afternoon Sessions – Photojournalist Jiggie Alejandrino and Producer Director Rolly Magpayo. Day 2 Speakers-Jan. 30 – Morning Sessions – Professional Photographer Lisa Langell, Photojournalist Alecs Ongcal.  Afternoon Sessions – Hazel Sadian of Picture Books and Professional Photographer Manny Librodo, Wazzup PH Blogger Ted Claudio.  Day 3 – Jan. 31 – Morning Sessions - Professional Photographer and Traveller Yusuf Hashim, Film Director EJ Mijares.  Afternoon Sessions – Drone Expert and Specialist Omell Cruz, Professional Photographer Leandre Guevarra and Conceptual Artist Mars Galang.





PHOTOWORLD ASIA 2021 Chairwoman Cynthia “Cha” Pagdilao, in her closing remarks: “We thank everybody who had helped make this a total virtual success: our speakers, sponsors, our FPPF working committees, the community of photographers who took part in our online conference and webinars, all friends and supporters who helped us and more specially the local and foreign media publications who had featured the annual event – thank you very much, Pagdilao said.





The most exciting highlights of  the Day 3 presentations was the last  Session – “Lighting and Posing in Photography with Models”, that almost bring-down the Virtual Digi-PARC Studio were  the delegates and participating photographers swarmed inside the Studio during the actual studio photo shoots with three scintillating beautiful models presented by Conceptual Artist Mars Galang – Cristina Balza, Lemon Celis and Ashely Gomez, in safari and warrior costumes,  lectured and presented  by two multi-talented artist combined by Professional Photographer Leandre Guevarra and Conceptual Artist Mars Galang were delegates enjoyed and find it very inspiring, informative and educational.





FPPF President and PMAC Project Director during an interview, “With the success of the first virtual international photographer’s conference, it will be another milestone in the annals of history of Philippine photography.  I consider this success another accolade of the entire Federation’s meritorious distinction for 34 years in community service and institutional achievement as photographic educational institution in the Philippines”, Beltran said.

The closing ceremonies ended with astounding success filled with continuous outpouring congralutory messages and greetings on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter from around the world as of this writing.  Emotions are high inside the Digi-PARC Foundation Studio with tears of joy from among PWA2021 officers and organizers over the unexpected and unprecedented virtual success of the entire conference.
