HYBRID VIRTUAL PHOTOGRAPHERS INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE

MANILA, Philippines – Filipino and foreign professional photographers, non-professionals, camera club organizations, advanced hobbyists, amateur photographers and students from the various parts of the country and around the world will converged virtually via the internet during the 3-day virtual hybrid photographer’s conference dubbed “PHOTO WORLD ASIA 2021” commencing on Friday, January 29 until Sunday,  January 31, 2021.

Photo World Asia 2021, the first-ever virtual photographer’s conference is now on its 35th edition series and  is part of the biggest  continuing annual photographic event project of the Federation of Philippine Photographer’s Foundation, Inc. (FPPF) since the organization’s foundation in 1987. This year’s Photo World Asia 2021 was spearheaded and under the stewardship of Chairman Ms. Cynthia “Cha” Pagdilao, who will oversee the overall conference operations and entire trade show with the support and assistance of the various committees and FPPF affiliated camera associations in the country.

 

During the annual preparations meeting,  a joint statement obtained by this Correspondent issued by FPPF Chairperson Eduviger “Edi” Y. Huang and Chairman Cynthia “Cha” Pagdilao, extending their gracious invitation to professional and amateur photographers including OFWs, all Filipino camera club associations and FPPF student alumnis and graduates as well as all foreign photographers from the various parts of the world to attend the conference and its workshops. “Photography has so much to do with messages to people.  A well-taken photograph can enhance whatever good you do.  A bad photo, however, spoils everything. This makes the knowledge of photography critical in the preparation of newsletters, posters, websites, and postings for Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and other social media platforms”, the joint statement said.

Photo World Asia 2021 overall theme this year is “New Trends, New Mindset, New Normal”.

Mrs. Eduviges “Edi” Y. Huang, FPPF Chairwoman also announced that this year’s hybrid conference will be held online for the first time because of the prevailing global pandemic.  She also said that with Corona Virus or without, our spirits have not been dampened to get together again as a community by sharing exchanges of ideas about photographic technology beneficial to the entire FPPF Institution.

 

Among this year’s line-up of renowned professional resource speakers invited for the Photo World Asia 2021, will include the following with their respective topics of their expertises and experiences during the 3-day virtual conference. The following are the final lists of speakers who have confirmed their commitments: -

In an interview, FPPF President and PMAC Project Director Pablo “Ka Lito” Beltran said that Photo World Asia 2021 has two components: a) the international photographers’ conference; and,  b) the Photography Trade Show.  The conference goes online, while the trade will have a hybrid nature, online and in-person, so that attendees may still avail themselves of the big discounts traditionally offered in the trade show, according to President Beltran.
